Deja Vu: The story of most girls in India

This post is my answer to a question asked on Quora.

Question:

Have any of you girls been suppressed from pursuing your dreams because your a girl and did you fight against it?

My Answer:

I’m going to be answering this on behalf of my cousin in the city of Agra, India.

She was 23 then, had just completed her M.B.A. from an okay college in the city and was looking for a job. It had been months that she’d been sitting home hunting for job within her hometown but Agra being a small town had nothing much to offer.

The curious case of feminist hypocrisy

This post is my answer to a question asked on Quora.

Question:

What are some examples of feminist hypocrisy?

My answer:

People simply don’t understand feminism.

I began my quest to know about feminism when it was a bit too much for me to take the unfairness to the women around me. And mind you, I’m not talking about any tragic incidents and I come from a middle class family so it’s not just the poor women I got worried about.
